Shopify reporting errors

Common errors you may encounter running a report on a Shopify store using SyncWith

Updated today

If you're running a report against a Shopify store(s), using any of our products (SyncWith for Google Sheets, SyncWith for Looker Studio, our embedded Shopify app Reports & Export etc), you might encounter one of these errors.

Missing scopes

When you install either of our Shopify apps (to run reports in your store, or to connect your store to SyncWith for use in our other products) you are required to approve the necessary scopes (permissions) that our app needs.

Sometimes to add new fields and reporting capabiliesi we will modify our app to require additional scopes, and you'll need to approve these scopes to use these.

Error code

Example error message

Missing necessary scopes to perform the query. Please visit https://admin.shopify.com/store/<myShopifyDomain>/apps/syncwith to approve additional scopes. (OriginAccountIdPermissionError)

To fix this error and approve the new scopes please open your store admin in Shopify, and open SyncWith's Shopify app(s), and you'll be prompted to approve the new scopes.
